Dawn in the Paleocene is a feature-length documentary film about Dawn Elizabeth Peterson, a punk rock transgender paleontologist living in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood in the 1990s. Based on over 30 years of journals documenting gender transition, manic depression, scientific discovery, artistic expression, and battles with addiction as Dawn carved out a life for herself despite all odds. Directed by Genevieve Roudané, the film is currently in development and seeking producers and co-conspirators.
