Paleocene is a feature length documentary film about Dawn Elizabeth Peterson, a transgender punk rock paleontologist carving out a life for herself in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood in the 1990s. Based on decades of journals documenting gender transition, manic depression, scientific discovery, artistic creation, and battles with addiction, the film is a story of the terrifying bravery of living your truth. Directed by Genevieve Roudané, Paleocene (working title) is currently in development and seeking producers and co-conspirators.
